- PROGRESSIVE ROCK SITE -

This web site is the result of some friends' passion for progressive rock, a kind of music that, in case you didn't know it, crosses and combines many musical genres (jazz, classic, folk) inventing an unique and original style. Born at the end of the 60s and developed in the 70s from the bent of bands like Genesis, King Crimson, Soft Machine, Magma, only to mention someone, this music keeps on exciting TODAY thanks to the work of artists of the present scene applied themselves new and interesting ways to go. The Rotters' Club tries itself an hard but practicable way: to spread abroad the progressive rock among the music fans from every side. In fact, the site pages have the purpose to let you enter step by step in the fantastic "prog world". A broad section, in which you can find a description of this peculiar musical genre; because it's impossible to give a strict definition of the progressive (as you can realize reading and, as we hope, listening to the music advised), the only way is to discuss the subject from different points of view: chronologic (Ages) and philologic (Movements and Artists). Moreover, in the other section you can find some investigations to let you realize more the extent of the prog proposals. Our "project" is open to everyone wants to offer his own contribution; so, we urge people interested to send a message to: info@rottersclub.net.

The Rotters' Club English version comes out of the purpose to promote the prog across the Italian borders, giving our site an international level that we regard as essential in the internet world. As you can see, you can enter only some sections of the English version because of the great deal of the translation work and the shortage of people involved in the project. Step by step, we'll try to fill the gaps and offer an ever more complete service. Finally, we want right now to say "sorry!" to the readers for any possible grammar mistakes found in the site, due to the absence in the Rotters' club of an English mothertongue. Thus, every suggestion or correction is welcome here.
Enjoy the Rotters!!!
